The waters of Lake Mead are home to the beautiful, roomy, comfortable, smooth excursion vessel of Lake Mead Cruises, the delightful paddlewheel vessel, the Desert Princess. The Desert Princess was built especially to cruise the clean, blue waters of picturesque Lake Mead. Visitors and locals alike can enjoy a fun combination of spectacular scenery, good food and "Outrageously Great Tours!" on beautiful Lake Mead aboard the Desert Princess.

WEDDINGS

Lake Mead Cruises is an ideal setting for both wedding ceremonies and receptions, large or small. Surrounded by the glassy blue waters of Lake Mead, your wedding and reception will be nothing short of “Outrageously Memorable.”

Our facilities accommodate small wedding parties for a Top Deck Ceremony within our regular cruise schedule, or private charters for up to 200 guests. We offer a unique experience for the Bride, Groom, Friends and Family! Our authentic Mississippi River style Paddlewheeler, the Desert Princess, combined with the careful planning of our sales staff, will make your special day worry free.

HOOVER DAM

With Lake Mead Cruises, you can get a great perspective on the engineering marvel called Hoover Dam. From the blue, tranquil waters of Lake Mead, gaze upon one of the man-made engineering wonders of the modern world.
Hoover Dam is 726 feet tall and is 45 feet wide at the top and 660 feet thick at the bottom. There is enough concrete in Hoover Dam (4 1/2 million cubic yards) to build a 4 foot wide sidewalk around the Earth at the Equator. During peak electricity periods, enough water runs through the generators to fill 15 average sized swimming pools (20,000 gallons each) in 1 second. Every state in the United States furnished supplies and materials for the construction of Hoover Dam.
